Paul P. Johnson Sr.

Paul P. Johnson Sr. 53, of 57 Waterman Avenue Cranston, Rhode Island passed away peacefully at home on Saturday morning after losing a courageous battle against lung cancer. He spent his life working in the aspahlt business with his brothers. He spent many years with Bill's Consruction, and also worked for Jack Cooper Paving.
Born on February 3, 1959 in Providence to the late Leonard Johnson and the late May Ida Johnson-Riggs. Paul resided most of his live in Cranston. He is survived by his wife Maryann Johnson, a daughter Jennifer Silva-Niemi, a son Paul Johnson Jr., and a stepdaughter Julie Cacchiotti. He was one of 8 children, Leonard Johnson Jr., Ida Shanley, Margarett Howard, the late Charles Johnson, Alice Johnson, William Johnson, and Kathryn Johnson. He also leaves behind 5 grandchildren, Dylan Niemi, Gabriel Niemi, Aidan Niemi, Elise Mendez, and Benny Mendez. He also leaves behind a companion, Sharon King. Paul served in the United States Army for one year. He was an avid fan of baseball and enjoyed playing fantasy baseball on the weekends. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 9:00am in The Butterfield Chapel 500 Pontiac Avenue Cranston. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 5:00-8:00pm. In lieu of flowers donations to Home and Hospice Care of Rhode Island 1085 North Main Street Providence, RI 02904 would be appreciated.

its nearing 5 yrs and it still seems like yesterday..=( i feel like when u left us everyone kind of parted ways and its just not the same.. i know u werent my bio dad but i couldnt have asked for a better dad..u really dunno the impression someone leaves on you until they're gone..and to be so very honest i would trade lots of ppl to have you back around.. =( Lee Lee still sleeps with ur blanket every single night..and we always talk about fun times .. she misses you dearly...i always say to myself i can't believe he's missing Trump as #notmypresident... lol its so crazy.. im sure ur laughing down on us.. lol.rest well grampy.. we miss u more than u can imagine.♥ love julz & leelee
