George M. Griffin
Griffin, George M. 87 of Cranston passed away October 8, 2012 at his home where he lived with his granddaughter Melissa Webster and her husband Kevin Webster Sr, great grandson Kevin Webster Jr and Corey Webster. He was the son of the late George Asa Griffin and Nellie Eva Ducharme, brother of John E. Griffin of NY, father of the Late Nancy M. Ostrowski. Survived by Judy Champagne, Diana Pontarelli and Georgianna Boleman. He was the devoted grandfather of 14 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. He served in the US Marines 1942-1950. He retired from Conrail Railroad after 50 years of dedication. A funeral service will be held on Thursday at 10:30am in the committal chapel of the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery in Exeter.
