Sylvia E. Bray

Bray, Sylvia E. passed peacefully at 96, of natural causes surrounded by her family on Monday May 20th, 2013 at West View Nursing Home. She was a Bristol resident for over 50 years until 2009 when she moved to Warwick to be closer to her family. First to Greenwich Farms Assisted Living, and then to Greenwich Bay Manor Assisted Living, both in Warwick. She was born March 4, 1917 to mother, Beatrice (Reynolds) Warwick and father, John Warwick. She was one of three siblings, including her late sister Shirley (Warwick) Miller, and her late Brother David Warwick. Sylvia was married to the late Ray Fuller, giving her two sons. Years later they divorced, and she remarried to the late Dr. Russell S. Bray of Bristol, RI gaining three step-children. Sylvia is survived by son Richard E. Fuller and his wife Lillian of Warwick, RI, son John R Fuller and his wife Marion of Ocean Springs, Mississippi, & step-daughter Susan Reynolds and her husband Rick of Westerly, RI. Sylvia also leaves behind three grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren. She enjoyed her time at the Bristol 4th of July Parade, plays and musicals at The Providence Performing Arts Center, Sunday worship at St. Michael’s Church, traveling with friends, the Bristol Garden Club, and attending various other local groups. Her pastimes included needle point, ceramics, and photography; but above all else, she loved her cats. Indoors or out, she was the Cat Lady, she fed & loved them all, and they adored her. She will be missed by many. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday at 7:00pm in The Butterfield Chapel 500 Pontiac Avenue Cranston.
