John F. Murphy

John F. Murphy 62, died unexpectedly at home on August 2, 2013. John was the husband of Pamela (Jones) Murphy for 34 years. Besides his wife, John leaves behind his son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Gaby Murphy of Colorado Springs, Colorado, his son and daughter-in-law, Shawn and Pasha Murphy of Greenville, Rhode Island and his daughter and son-in-law, Erin (Murphy) and Eric Dimbleby of Brunswick, Maine. He was the son of the late John “Jack” Murphy, and Claire (Quinn) Murphy. John was the grandfather of five grandchildren and the brother of Kathy Duncan and Carol Muise. John retired from Synagro after 17 years of dedication. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 6:00-8:00pm in The Butterfield Chapel 500 Pontiac Avenue Cranston. Words of Remembrance will be shared following the visitation at 8:00pm.

I only had the privilege of meeting Mr. Murphy once but he made such a great impression. He was sweet and kind and that is how I will always remember him.

My thoughts and prayers are with you. I last saw you so many years ago and yet it seems like yesterday. In one of my last conversations with John, he told me how proud he was of you (as well as Erin and Shawn).
