Eileen M. Matarese
Matarese, Eileen M. 80, of Hemlock Avenue, Cranston passed away peacefully Sunday at The Miriam Hospital. She was the wife of the late Ralph Matarese. Born in Bristol she was the daughter of late William and Mary (Medeiros) Moran. Mrs. Matarese was a CNA for over 35 years.
She is survived by her loving five children, Edward Cordeiro Jr and his wife Peggy of Charlotte, NC, Richard Simmons of Gaithersburg, MD, Eileen Audette and her husband David of Goldsboro, NC, Benny Moura Jr and his wife Lynn of Buckeystown, MD and Karen Paolucci of Johnston. She was the sister of Dot Forand, Delores Baldino and William Moran of Cranston, Bernadette Khouri of Seekonk and the late Oney Moran. She was the beloved grandmother of six grandchildren; Edward III, James, Richie, Stacey, Amanda and Nicholas and four great grandchildren. Her funeral will be held on Thursday at 8:30am from The Butterfield Chapel 500 Pontiac Avenue Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary’s Broadway Providence at 10:00am. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park Johnston. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 4:00 to 6:00pm. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary’s Church on Broadway Food Shelter 538 Broadway Providence, RI or to The Miriam Hospital 164 Summit Avenue Providence, RI

eileen was a wonderful woman and i was honored to be her physician until 2010. she was a most memorable character who always brought us christmas treats. so sorry for your loss. diane siedlecki
