Barry F. Iantuono
Barry F. Iantuono 62, of Providence, passed away peacefully Friday November 15, 2013 surrounded by his loving family. Barry Iantuono was born to Frank and Assunta Iantuono, in Providence On November 26, 1950. Barry graduated from La Salle Academy and Bryant University. Barry was a professional salesman for most of his life and he excelled in his career. He also was a talented builder, and a creative mind. Barry was always known for his warm and beautiful smile and he had a heart of gold to match. Anyone that knew Barry would say he was one of the nicest and kind hearted people they had ever known. Barry was witty, charming and sharp. He loved to have deep conversations about the world but at the same time was never judgmental, just kind, loving and forgiving. Barry is survived by his loving daughters Dara Iantuono and Alana Iantuono –Marmarou and his loving family; brother Edward Iantuono, niece Erica Iantuono, sister in law Maureen Iantuono, son in law John Marmarou, uncle Richard Reo, and aunt Anne (Reo) Detri. Barry and Edward were always very close growing up and throughout their adult lives. They are definitely each other’s best friends. Barry loved to laugh and spend time with his friends and family playing golf and staying active. He also had compassion for animals and loved the beautiful beaches of New England. He frequently would sing in the bathroom as he got ready for work or his day… usually Sinatra tunes. He would joke that he is completely tone deaf but sang anyway. He loved to sit and watch the ocean with his daughters and talk about memories and laugh about funny stories of the past. He was always there to give profound and sincere advice to his family and friends. Barry was and is a selfless, fiercely loyal man who will live on in us for all of eternity. Barry was the kind of father that instilled the lessons of unconditional love and forgiveness to heal all. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 10:00am in Holy Ghost Church 472 Atwells Avenue Providence. Friends and family are welcome to attend. In lieu of flowers the family requests a donation to be made in Barry Iantuono’s name to the American Cancer Society. https://donate.cancer.org

Your father is no longer sick and he is picking your grandmother up in the air to give her a big hug. He has two angels here that I know he will always be with. Your father was such an easy going and gentle person who would help anyone that needed it. His beautiful nature is why he is in heaven. I know you miss seeing him but Barry Iantuono lives in his daughters. Just cause you can not see him it doesn't mean he can't see you. You are such great daughters and I am so sorry for your loss. Love you both

Dear Alana & John,
We are so very sorry that you have lost your father Alana. You told us how important it was to you for him to see your new home in RI. Now he will watch over you and your family in your soon to be new home every day and he will smile down upon you with all the love and support that he as your guardian angel can. We understand the loss and nothing helps more deeply than the passage of time. The sorrow and loss slowly evolves into smiles of so many special memories. May God rest his soul. My (Karen) father was very important to me in life and he continues to help me daily since his passing. With deep sympathy we send our regards.

To the family of my childhood friend, Barry, my deepest condolences. He was my first friend. We lived only a couple of houses away from each other and our families had ties going back to our grandfathers. We had many boyhood experiences along with Gino D'Abate. We went to school together, we made our confirmation together( I have Pics) We got our drivers licenses and drove all over creation. Good times spent for many years. Than 1968 came and I went into the service and Barry to college. We seldom saw one another after that. Work and family responsibilities took over and we just lost touch. I have spent the last few days remembering our childhood days and how good they were. I have prayed for him since I last saw him in Feb of 2011. I know his soul rests with Jesus in the eternal kingdom. Yes I am the last of the three amigos and look forward to seeing my friends one day.
I pray for the peace of the Lord to be with you all as you go through this time of sadness. Remember we pass through this life in order to get to our reward and I am sure the Lord will say to Barry " Well done my good and faithful servant welcome to the banquet that was set for you since the beginning of time.
