Dorothy I. Pascone

PASCONE, DOROTHY I. (COX) 91 of Providence, died peacefully Thursday March 13, 2014 at Waterview Villa Nursing Home East Providence. She was the wife of the late Celestino “Gino” Pascone. She was born in Manchester, New Hampshire the daughter of the late William Cox and Myrtle (Miller) Martin. She is survived by her sister, Thelma (Martin) Carpetis of Cranston; children Elizabeth Campbell of Sun City Center, Florida, Anthony Pascone of Providence, William Pascone of East Providence, grandchildren Jennifer and Max Campbell, Michele, Anna, Marisa and Anthony Pascone, Joseph and Daniel Pascone; three great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Two brothers, William and Edward Cox, predeceased her. She graduated from Cranston East High School, attended the former Rhode Island Nursing School, and was an information operator for New England Telephone Company until her retirement in the mid-1970s. Besides her family, her big interest was baseball. She was a longtime fan of the Atlanta Braves. Calling hours will be Tuesday March 18th from 6:00-8:00pm in The Butterfield Chapel 500 Pontiac Avenue Cranston. The funeral will be Wednesday March 19th with a 10:00am Mass in St. Mary's Church 1525 Cranston Street Cranston, followed by burial in St. Ann's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Rhode Island Community Food Bank 200 Niantic Avenue Providence, Rhode Island 02907
