Dorothy A. Saylor

Saylor, Dorothy A. 80, of 200 Keach Dam Road in Chepachet died peacefully on May 13, 2014 at The Evergreen House in East Providence. She was the daughter of the late Everett and Bessie (Parrillo) Whiteley, mother of the late Rick Saylor and sister of the late Richard Whiteley. She is survived by her husband Walter F. Saylor, her son Bill Saylor and his wife Jean, grandchildren Ross Saylor and Linsey, Lauren and Daniel Saylor, and a great-granddaughter Hazel Saylor. Dorothy lived in Chepachet for over 50 years. Once her boys were of school age she went to work for Ponagansett Middle School where she was a teacher's aid for over 35 years until her retirement in 2005. She enjoyed spending time with her family especially the grandchildren. Summers were spent traveling and in fact she and her husband have visited all of the contiguous states. She loved warm weather, animals and anything lemon. Calling hours will be held on Sunday May 18th from 5:00-7:00pm. Burial will be private. A Memorial Mass will be held at a later date.
