Vincent N. Macari

Vincenzo Natale "Banjoo" Macari was born on December 25, 1924 in Johnston, Rhode Island He was the son of the late Antonio and Rosa Macari. He is survived by his wife Barbara with whom he celebrated 32 years of marriage, a son Vincent and wife Carol, daughters Robin and husband Wayne, Jody and husband Frank, grandchildren; John Butler, Justin Butler fiancee Krystal, Ashley and Christopher Macari, Elizabeth Capoverde and Carlos Cruz, and great-grandson Aiden. He was the brother of Anthony and Rocco Macari of Johnston, Gena Apici of North Providence, Bessie DeSuma of Greenville and the late Angelo, Pasco, John, Thomas and Alfred. Vincent was a World War II Army Veteran who served in China, Burma, India, and Germany. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday December 29, 2014 at 9:00am in The Butterfield Chapel 500 Pontiac Avenue Cranston. Burial will follow in the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery in Exeter. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 3:00-6:00pm. In lieu of flowers donations to Home and Hospice Care of Rhode Island 1085 North Main Street Providence, Rhode Island 02904 would be appreciated.
