William J. Blifford

William J. Blifford 66, of Western Hills Apartments in Cranston died peacefully on Sunday at the Phillip Hulitar Hospice Center in Providence after a long illness. He was the husband of Lea M. (Creelman) Blifford. Born in Providence, Rhode Island in January of 1948 to the late William E. and Edna M. (Tierney) Blifford, he lived in Cranston most of his later life previously living in Providence and West Warwick. After serving in the US Coast Guard during the Vietnam War, William was employed as a truck driver most of his life. Besides his wife he is survived by his daughter Tracy (Blifford) Johnson and his grandchildren Alicia, Cory and Paul Sivo Jr. He was the brother of the late Jeanne D'Ercole and Barbara McNally. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday January 2nd at 10:30am in St. Matthews Church (corner of Park and Elmwood Avenues) Cranston.

Rest in Peace Billy! I will always remember the days of our youth playing baseball and the weekend trips to Massachusetts chasing the girls. I especially am grateful we reunited these past couple of years and had the opportunity to call and talk to you a couple of months ago!!
