Brantolino, Santo 97, passed away on Tuesday September 29, 2015 at Roger Williams Hospital after a brief illness. Santo was a member of the bakers and confectionary union and was an avid bowler and golfer. Born in Pittsfield, Maine he was the son of the late Guissepe and Rose (Chiancetti) Brantolino and had lived in California for many years before returning to Rhode Island in 2013. Santo is survived by his brother Joseph of Cranston, Rhode Island. He was the brother of the late Larry Brantolino, Mary Howarth, Alice Murgo, Julia Sinapi, Rena Abbruzzese, Ann Delsignore, and Fay Mansolino. He was also uncle to many nieces and nephews. Santo was a decorated World War II Army Veteran of the 1st Armored Division serving in the African and European Campaigns. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday October 3rd at 10:00am in St. Matthew Church (corner of Park and Elmwood Avenues in Cranston). Burial with Military Honors will follow in St. Ann Cemetery in Cranston. Visitation will be held on Saturday morning prior to the Funeral Mass beginning at 8:30am in The Butterfield Chapel 500 Pontiac Avenue Cranston. In lieu of flowers nations to the Wounded Warrior Project PO Box 758517 Topeka, Kansas 66675 would be appreciated.
