Amanda A. Males

Amanda A. Males, 73 of 404 Tower Hill Road North Kingstown, RI passed away peacefully surrounded by family at her daughters home in Cranston after a short illness. Amanda was a retired LPN. Daughter of the late Gardiner Anthony and Evelyn Anthony Collison, sister of the late Gail Anthony DeCosta, step sister of Richard Collison, Russell Collison and Marjorie Miller. Formerly of Cranston, RI and Vershire, VT and very happily resided in the past few years in North Kingstown, RI. She was a devoted mom to Bethany Lamarre, Susan, David and Gary Males. Grandmother of eleven amazing grandchildren and five adorable great grandchildren whom she held in the highest esteem. A proud nurse for 40 years, she loved gardening, sewing, traveling, reading, sitting by the Rhode Island coastline, bike riding, cooking and spending time with her family and many friends. She was a loving, proud, thoughtful and caring woman with a unique spirit, full of life and touched so many. As mom would say, “That’s my story and I’m sticking to it!” The family is respectively omitting calling hours and requesting omission of flowers. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the Oak Lawn Baptist Church 229 Wilbur Avenue Cranston on Friday at 10:00am.

I am so sorry to hear about Amanda. I volunteered with her at Beechwood Senior Center. She was a lovely person and I considered her a good friend. I will miss her very much. Again I am very sorry for your loss.
