Marie O' Brien (Ricci) 75, of Cranston passed away peacefully on Saturday August 20, 2016. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Flora (Feurer) Ricci. She retired from Providence Police Dept after 30 years. She also worked as a hostess at The Butterfield Home & Chapel for many years. She devoted her life to helping others, volunteering for 20 years at the McAuley House in Providence. She leaves her beloved daughter Robin M. D'Alessio of Johnston as well as her cherished grandchildren Dina D'Alessio and fiance Michael of Providence, Christine Ducharme and her husband Shawn of Killingly, Connecticut, Dante M. D'Alessio of Johnston, brothers Theodore Feurer of Scotia, New York, Anthony and Karen Ricci of Portsmouth, Rhode Island, and Thomas Ricci of Cranston, Rhode Island. A Memorial Service will be held at the Chapel Mausoluem in Highland Memorial Park Cemetery in Johnston on Tuesday August 30 at 11:00am. Donations to the McAuley Ministries 622 Elmwood Avenue Providence, RI 02907 in memory of Marie would be appreciated.
