Edward J. Stewart

Edward J. Stewart "Eddy", 60 of Cranston, passed away of liver cancer on August 24, 2017. Eddy will be remembered by his life partner and best friend of 21 years, Tim Riggin. Eddy was born in Providence to the late Thomas and Mary (McNamara) Stewart. He will also be remembered by his twelve siblings, Mary (Arthur) Frechette of Cumberland; Thomas (Carol) Stewart of Chesapeake, Virginia; Raymond (Dianne) Stewart of Cranston; Patricia (Michael) Garrahan of West Warwick; Ann Mendes of North Smithfield; Rose (Paul) Owen of Florida; Daniel (Sharon) Stewart of Cranston; Richard (Yukie) Stewart of Athol, Massachusetts; Joan (Kenneth) Rotella of Smithfield; James (Jill) Stewart of Cranston, Dorothy (David) Coffin of Nantucket, Massachusetts; Barbara (Brenton) Thurston of Smithfield; many nieces and nephews and also dear friends Becky and Tara. After spending years living in California, Texas and Florida, he returned to Rhode Island. Eddy worked for Colibri until ill health forced his retirement. Eddy enjoyed life to the fullest. He had a passion for family, friends, travel, animals and Diana Ross.

A Memorial Service will be held at 6:00PM on Thursday August 31, 2017 in The Butterfield Chapel 500 Pontiac Avenue Cranston. Please omit flowers. Donations may be made in his memory to the ASPCA.
