Helen M. Talbot

Helen M. (Hentz) Talbot, 86 of Cranston, RI, was called to her eternal rest Thursday September 27th at the home of her son and daughter-in-law in Haverhill surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Boston on February 2, 1926 daughter of the late Charles and Dorothy (Blaine) Hentz. Educated in the Quincy school system, Mrs. Talbot earned her Registered Nurse’s Degree from Rhode Island Junior College. For over 20 years she was employed as a nurse at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence. After her marriage she and her husband lived in Warwick prior to moving to Cranston over 50 years ago. Mrs. Talbot was a long time member of Philips Memorial Baptist Church in Cranston, RI. She and her husband Tal enjoyed many years of travel around the world. She always had pets and loved them dearly. Helen loved the arts. This passion was passed down to her children and grandchildren. She was an avid supporter of her family's numerous musical adventures. Above all she nurtured her family with unconditional love and a never ending supply of comfort food. She was also a former member of the Order of The Eastern Star. A musician herself she sang with The Melody Bells, a women's barber shop chorus. She will be greatly missed by all of those whose lives she touched. Her survivors include her husband of 64 years, Irwin Talbot of Cranston, RI, a daughter Susan Anzalotti and her husband Dominick of East Longmeadow, a son Michael Talbot and his wife Danea and grandsons Andrew and Evan Talbot of Haverhill, and a sister Betty Hentz Lyman of Lenox. Mrs. Talbot was the mother of the late Richard John Talbot. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Memorial Service on Saturday October 20th at 10:00am in Phillips Memorial Baptist Church 565 Pontiac Avenue Cranston. Burial was in the Rhode Island Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery in Exeter, RI. In lieu of flowers contributions in her memory may be made to the local Animal Shelter of the donor’s choice.
