Dear Pam and Family,

We are so sadden by the passing of "one of our kids". We have many memories of Phil. One that I often think about goes back to the day before the first Sunday worship in the new Riverside Church. I was standing in the sanctuary when suddenly organ music filled the space. Phil was at the organ, with all stops wide open. It was a thrilling experience and for me, a beautiful beginning of special Sunday service to come the next day.

We thank God for Phil and his ministry of music.

Dear Pam:
On behalf of the Burgoyne Family and also on behalf of the entire community at the Evangelical Covenant Church of Riverside, please accept my most heartfelt condolences on the passing of Phil. I remember him as a young child and he had an infectious smile and a great laugh. As much as a shock his passing is to us all, know that he rests now with Al and Vivian and others who have gone on ahead of us. Our prayers and our thoughts are with you and your family as you celebrate his life and mourn his passing.

To the family of Phil
Philip and I were classmates and friends since we were in elementary school. I know a few years have passed but I just learned of his passing. I am in shock that a friend I cared for had passed on. Phil never had a bad word to say about anyone and when I needed a friend during those difficult year, Phil was there. Others judged me, he never did. God bless you my old friend. I am proud to have known you and the friends one never forgets are the friends one doesn't want to forget. I will never forget you and the fun times we had being care free kids.
