Walton L. Anderson
Anderson, Walton L., 90, formerly of Naugatuck and Wolcott, Connecticut, passed away peacefully December 28th at the Philip Hulitar Home & Hospice Care Center of Rhode Island after a short illness. Walton, or “Woop” as he was known, served in the United States Navy during WW II as Petty Officer First Class. He served in both the European and Pacific Theaters. He was also a Master Electrician, employed at Uniroyal/Naugatuck Chemical, until his retirement. Walton was married to the late Patricia (McGrath) Anderson. He was the son of the late Carl William and Marie (Anderson) Anderson. Walton had four children; Judith Anderson Uhoch and her husband John, of Rhode Island, Kathleen Anderson Bates, of Pennsylvania, Terry Anderson and his wife Donna, of Florida, and Debra Anderson Southworth and her husband Tom, of New York. He enjoyed visiting with his nine grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. He had many nieces and nephews, children of his late brothers and sister. Walton’s siblings included Clayton Anderson, Loyd Anderson, Everett Anderson, Alvar Anderson and Loraine Anderson Sayward. Funeral services and burial will be private.
