Shirley A. Carroll

Carroll, Shirley Anne (Cheetham) age 84, of Cranston and Roberts Health Center North Kingstown passed away at The Philip Hulitar Hospice Center on May 23rd after a brief illness. Shirley was a loving and devoted mother and homemaker. She was the wife of the late John C. Carroll and daughter of the late Francis and Isabelle Cheetham of North Adams Mass. She was the mother of Erin Carroll (Pat Iserman) of North Kingstown, Kathleen Mouradjian (Chuck) of Cranston, Maura McDevitt (Joseph) of Cranston, and John Carroll (Mariana) of Pawtucket. She was the proud Nana of Greg and Monica Mouradjian and Alexander and Caleb McDevitt. She graduated from St. Xaviers Academy in 1948 and St. Joseph’s School of Nursing in 1951. A Funeral Service will be held in The Butterfield Chapel 500 Pontiac Avenue Cranston on Wednesday at 11:00am. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service beginning at 9:00am. Burial will follow at St. Ann’s Cemetery in Cranston. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in her name to Adult Day Services C/O Cranston Senior Center 1070 Cranston Street Cranston RI 02920.
