Mark A. Cocozza
Cocozza, Mark A. of Warwick, Rhode Island died unexpectedly at home on Saturday January 24 at the age of 55. Born in Providence, Mr. Cocozza was the son of the late William F. and Lena C. Cocozza of Warwick. He is survived by his wife of 34 years Beth J. (Ayer) Cocozza of West Warwick. He enjoyed the time he spent with his family over the holidays, his daughters, son, grandson, and their partners. He leaves Kimberly F. Cocozza and her boyfriend Blade Sklepowicz of North Smithfield, Jennifer L. Cocozza, Ryan A. Cocozza and his fiancé Kaitlyn Young all of Warwick. He also leaves a sister Shelia Sharron of North Kingstown, and was the brother of the late Janice Walsh. Mr. Cocozza was looking forward to one day playing baseball with his grandson, Gabriel A. Mr. Cocozza enjoyed his time coaching Apponaug Girls Softball, being part of The Pontaic Association, and cheering on his favorite team, The New England Patriots. He often reminisced about playing the keyboard and accordion with his band, Blue Pacific. He was a graduate of The Jewelry Institute of Rhode Island and worked as a dental technician for many years, he was later a pipe-fitter, and driver. He enjoyed his family life spending many nights playing dinner table trivia with his children, rummy with his wife, and having fireside cook-outs with friends. He loved to cook, especially with his grandson. The family will miss his trivia questions, jokes, repetitious stories, and home cooking. His advice and guidance always came with a smile that could light the darkest room, and make anyone feel warm and welcomed. We will miss you beyond time. A funeral service will be held on Friday at 10:30am in The Butterfield Chapel 500 Pontiac Avenue Cranston. Visitation will be on Thursday from 5:00-8:00pm. In lieu of flowers the family is asking for donations to

I am so sorry for your loss. I know there are no words that can reach the depth of how you are all feeling. To Kim and Jen losing a dad is a hard thing to go through no matter how old you are. Just know that he will forever be in your hearts and thoughts so in that way he is never totally gone. I wish I could be there at the wake but I have to work and will not be able to make it or the funeral. May God bless and heal you and give you the inner strength I know you both have to get through this. Your whole family is in my thoughts and prayers. Hug each other a little longer and a little tighter. Love, Patty Gomm (Mama Hayes)

Dear Beth, Kim, Jenn, and Ryan. Out of all the men I ever have had the pleasure to meet in my almost 55 years here on earth, I have never ever met a man so beautiful as a Husband, Dad, or Friend.Even though we had lost touch over the years, It was a Joy to hear all the updates that had been so dear to his heart. He Loved to share the good news, and even any bad new from Mark was filled with Love and Genuine Concern.I am thankful for his life and heart, and example he gave for others to follow. I'm Blessed to know we all will see him again at the perfect time. I'll never forget all the Joy that both Mark and Beth you have given me throughout the years. Perhaps you never knew my heart towards the Cocozza Family because of the way things in life procrastinate our intentions. Other than prayer for your family, which is imperative as you know, Mark was in my heart and closer to me than my own brother. I did have plans to get together and rekindle a friendship that was shifted about with life's interuptions. GOD'S PLANS ARE GREATER THAN OURS. may God comfort you all by working through people that loved Mark and his Wonderful Family. I'm kind of lost for words.... Love in Christ Jesus, Amen. Norm Clegg II
