Laurie A. Griffith

Griffith, Laurie A. 51, passed away surrounded by her friends at Roger Williams Hospital on Saturday December 17, 2016. She is survived by her partner of 32 years, Marilyn Davis of Providence. She grew up in Narragansett, Rhode Island the daughter of Edwina Davis of Smithfield, her father and his wife William & Carol Griffith of Narragansett. She is also survived by many extended family, friends and kitties (her brain glue). Laurie was a professional picture framer working for many years in a variety of shops both large and small in Rhode Island. She attended Narragansett High School and School One in Providence. She was a fan of the New England Patriots and sincerely believe that they won whenever she wore her gear. Laurie had a love of the outdoors, beaches, biking, canoeing, kayaking and identifying all the birds she could find. She was a true lover and rescuer of animals and often said that she sometimes preferred them to people. She will be missed by all who knew her and loved to cook, eat, dance, sing out loud, laugh at bad/any joke and spend good times together. A Memorial Service will be held at 12:00pm on January 28, 2017 at Heritage Hills Nursing & Rehabilitation 80 Douglas Pike Smithfield, RI 02917.
