Mary J. Swanson

Swanson, Mary J. passed away peacefully in her home on Sunday March 5, 2017. She was the longtime companion of Richard P. Leone Sr. Born in Johnston, she was the daughter of the late Ruth and Charles Warren. She was a loyal employee of Cranston Public Works and the Rhode Island Family Court System. Mary enjoyed her time on boats, shopping with her friends and the wonderful food and companions at Twin Oakes Restaurant. Her time on the social committee at River Farms brought pleasure to her. Mary enjoyed a life filled with love, good friends and her special pets. Besides her companion Richard P. Leone Sr., she is survived by her brother William Warren his wife Diane and niece Shannon. A Funeral Service wil be held on Wednesday at 11:00am in The Swan Point Cemetery Chapel 585 Blackstone Blvd Providence. Visitation will be held on Tuesday evening from 5:00-7:00pm in The Butterfield Chapel 500 Pontiac Avenue Cranston. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be sent to Pet Refuge no kill animal shelter 500 Stony Lane North Kingstown, RI 02852 or to Hope Hospice 1085 North Main Street Providence, RI 02904

Richard, We were so upset to hear about Mary but we will always remember the good times. She was always involved, making plans and getting together with friends. There was always the next vacation, the next visit with friends and the next event to attend, She made the most out of life and expanded horizons with everyone.
