Lucy C. Sullivan
95, of Cranston and Dunedin, FL, passed away peacefully on Friday May 18th. She was the wife of the late Frederick D. Sullivan. Born in Providence she was a daughter of the late Clement and Margaret (McQuade) Gormley. She was the mother of Paula Sullivan Connolly of West Kingston, Margaret Machemer (Glenn) of Cranston, and Janeann Quaedvlieg of Westerly. Grandmother to Christine Connolly Fewlass (Jeff), Courtney Machemer Gendron (Ron) and Owen Machemer. Great grandmother of Carley and Lauren Fewlass, Reed and Luke Gendron. She was the sister of Margaret Woodbine, the late Agnes Barry and Clement Gormley Jr. Lucy was a former Supervisor at New England Telephone, member of the Telephone Pioneers and served as a past President of the St. Ann's Women's Club. Her funeral will be held on Tuesday May 22nd at 8:45am from The Butterfield Chapel 500 Pontiac Avenue Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mark Church Cranston at 10:00am. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery Cranston. Visitation will be held on Monday from 4:00-8:00pm. In lieu of flowers donations to the Roman Catholic Diocese of Providence would be appreciated.
