Robert G. DeCristofaro
Robert G. DeCristofaro 83, of Cranston, previously of Andover, Massachusetts lost his valiant battle with illness on September 9, 2018.
A graduate of Bryant University, Robert was a retired auditor with the Internal Revenue Service after beginning his career as a US Postal worker. He was a proud veteran of the Korean and Vietnam Wars where he served as a mechanic with the United States Air Force.
Robert was the beloved husband of the late Barbara A. (Corradini) DeCristofaro for 50 years. Together they built a life of love, commitment and faith through their travels and mutual devotion.
Robert was the son of the late Angelo C. and Orsola (Simone) DeCristofaro. He was the brother of Dante DeCristofaro of North Providence, and the late Americo (‘Rico’) DeCristofaro, Margaret D’Amico and Mary Almeida. He also leaves behind several nieces, nephews and godchildren.
Described by those who knew him as supportive,loving,encouraging and welcoming to any and all he could help in any way. Robert was an active member of St. Robert’s Parish in Andover prior to his illness and was an involved community member in various groups and organizations. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Saint Timothy’s Church 1799 Warwick Avenue Warwick at 10:00am on Wednesday September 12th. Military Honors will follow. Burial will be private.
