It is with a heavy heart we are announcing the passing of Colleen Rose Schofield 30, of Belmont Road in Cranston on Wednesday January 28, 2026 at Kent County Hospital in Warwick after a brief illness. She was the partner of Sarah Beyers.
Born March 17, 1995, in Norwood Massachusetts she was the daughter of Richard H. Schofield and his partner Joanne Pieroni of Foxboro and sister of Eric Schofield of Washington, DC. She was also the daughter of Marybeth Hanifin of Foxboro, niece of Greg and Robin Goodband, David Schofield and Katya Mantrova, cousin of Chris Goodband and Vasily Mantrov. She was the granddaughter of the late Robert and Shirley Schofield, Frank and Sally Hanifin.
As a graduate of Foxboro High School class of 2013, she attended UMass Dartmouth's Art/Illustration program. Colleen loved her high school drama club and all her artsy friends and instructors. She loved her summers on Cape Cod spent fishing, kayaking and shopping on Main Street in Hyannis. She was an accomplished artist of incredible talent and also enjoyed creating and showcasing her art at local events. She passionately loved all animals, in particular her kitties. Colleen loved anime and was a talented cosplayer at local conventions. Her favorite holiday was Halloween and she loved oddities and all things spooky including her extended goth family in Providence as well as dancing and socializing at their various monthly events. Colleen also enjoyed sharing her hobby of anime and video games with her brother Eric throughout her life.
A Celebration of Life service will be held in the spring with at a time and location to be announced. In lieu of flowers donations in her memory can be made to the RISPCA. http://www.rispca.org
