Norma E. DeCesare Obituary

Norma E. (Iacchei) DeCesare 93, of Cranston passed away on Monday November 3, 2025. She was the wife of the late Leroy P. DeCesare. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Amelia (Lanni) Iacchei. Norma lived on Mapleview Drive in Cranston for over fifty years. 

While her family was always Norma’s top priority, she enjoyed politics, working as campaign manager for a local state senator for many years. Later she worked as a clerk at the Rhode Island State House for over a decade.  Norma was a communicant of the Immaculate Conception Church in Cranston for fifty-six years and served as an Extraordinary Minister. She was also an avid boater and together with her husband were long time members of the East Greenwich Yacht Club, the United States Power Squadron, and the East Greenwich Veteran Fireman’s Association. 

She is survived by her daughter Leslie Graham, her husband William, grandchildren David and Matthew St. Hilaire, Mary Ferro, Jessica and Lauren Iacobucci, as wellas great grandchildren Zoey, Michael, and Julian.  She was the mother of the late Lori Ann Gooden and grandmother of the late Michael St. Hilaire.

Funeral services will be held on Monday November 10, 2025 at 8:30am from The Butterfield Chapel 500 Pontiac Avenue Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am in the Immaculate Conception Church 237 Garden Hills Drive Craston.  Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery Cranston.
